We were delighted to take part in Ballymahon St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2022. In line with this year’s theme, Arais Arís, we chose the sub theme of ‘Going on Holidays’.
The children dressed up and had all the gear for going on their Summer holidays – sunhats, sunglasses, brightly coloured clothes, suitcases, lilos, swimming, football gear, paddleboards, dolphins, doughnuts, etc. They sang “We’re all going on a Summer Holiday” by Cliff Richard. They also did the Haca as Gaeilge, to celebrate the return of sports post-pandemic. Grace Cornyn treated us all to her beautiful Irish dancing of a hornpipe.
Congratulations to Sophie Kelly on winning a €100 voucher for Ballymahon Greenway Cycles in our school raffle, compliments of the Parade Committee.
