Fáilte go Scoil Sinneach!

Welcome to Colehill N.S. We hope that all our pupils feel safe, happy and valued members of our school community during their time here. We strive for each person to be the very best that they can be, individually and collectively, now and into the future.

About Our School

Colehill National School (St. Sinneach’s N.S.) is a co-educational, child-centred, rural school, under the patronage of the Bishop of Ardagh and Clonmacnoise. It  is situated in Colehill, Co. Longford – 2 km from Abbeyshrule, 3km from  Carrickboy, 8km from Ballymahon, close to the Longford-Westmeath border.

In our school, we promote the Catholic ethos – respect, kindness, compassion, working to the best of one’s ability, acceptance of difference. Children of all  faiths and none are always very welcome in our school; parental choice in faith  development is always respected here. For those who wish, pupils are given  the opportunity to prepare for the Sacraments of Penance, Holy Communion  and Confirmation.
